Install TallyPrime
Connect with Remote Desktop, download TallyPrime from the official Tally website, install it and activate your licence.

Tally on cloud questions
Yes. You install TallyPrime on the server with your own licence, exactly as on an office PC. A Silver licence lets one person work at a time; if several people need to work in Tally together, you need TallyPrime Gold. Volyte provides the server, not the Tally licence.
You do — it takes about ten minutes. Download TallyPrime from the official Tally website on the server, install it, activate your licence and copy your company data across. If you get stuck, our support team will guide you on chat or phone.
It depends on how heavily each person works. As a guide, WVPS-1 suits about 3 people working at the same time and WVPS-2 about 5–6. For bigger teams, tell us your team size and we will suggest the right plan. Remember that several people working in Tally together need a TallyPrime Gold licence.
Yes. When you connect with Remote Desktop, tick “Printers” under Local Resources and Tally will print to the printer attached to your own computer — invoices, vouchers and reports.
The server is yours alone, protected by a firewall and hardened settings, with data kept in India. Use Tally’s own backup regularly, and we recommend our Auto Backup add-on so you can restore an older copy if a file is damaged or deleted.
No — Remote Desktop sends only the screen, not your data, so it works well on normal broadband and even 4G. From most Indian cities the ping to our Mumbai data center is 5–40 ms; Remote Desktop stays smooth up to about 100 ms.
